The Norwegian Guard Veterans Drill Contingent is a veteran association consisting of personnel who has served as either conscripts or officers in the world famous Band and Drill team of His Majesty the King`s Guards from 1963 till today.
Wearing uniforms being exact replicas of the uniform which was used by the King`s Guards in the period from 1870 - 1910 (and approved as uniform for the Veterans Drill Contingent by H M King Olav of Norway in 1985), a full marching band and rifle drill platoon using Garand M-1 rifles weighing 5,5 kg with sharp fixed bayonets, the Drill Contingent conducts stunning performances. With precision and perfectionism in every move, the Drill Contingent presents a popular act both in Norway and abroad.
Most recently, the Drill Contingent has been performing at Ystad Military Tattoo and Estonian Military Tattoo.
